Description

Georges Seurat (French, 1859–1891) A Sunday on La Grande Jatte—1884, 1884–1886 Sunday in the shadows of the park, enigmatic and still. In A Sunday on La Grande Jatte—1884, Georges Seurat captured the Parisian bourgeoisie at leisure, complete with a monkey on a leash and a fashionable woman fishing the Seine. With formal structure and a decidedly motionless quality, his influential painting stepped away from Impressionism’s fleeting imagery and broke ground for Neo-Impressionism. Enjoy the shaded riverbank as you piece together Seurat’s masterwork, pictured on this 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle.

high quality puzzles!

Pomegranate puzzles are high quality puzzles that are so enjoyable to put together. Bought this as a gift and looking forward to gifting it to the recipient. As another reviewer noted, a small poster to accompany the puzzle would be a great addition.

Excellent

I ordered this as a present for a friend and I think she likes it and I know she likes the little bonus that was added. It arrived very quickly which I appreciated.

I Gave Up

I hate to admit defeat, but defeated I am by the level of difficulty this puzzle poses. I put the edge pieces together and sorted the rest by color (sort of--difficult to do with a puzzle made up of lots of little dots). I managed to put a few pieces together, but was finding the process tedious, and decided to say "uncle" and move on. Would love to hear tips from others who managed to put it together.

Hi Susan. It's good to know when it is time to step away. Puzzles are meant to be fun, after all. Should you ever get the motivation to revisit it, we would be happy to help. Many customers find that a photo of the assembled puzzle is a helpful cheat sheet, when they find themselves stuck on a tricky area. If interested, shoot us an e-mail at [email protected], and we would be happy to provide that. :)

A Masterpiece

This was my 15th Pomegranate puzzle. I won’t lie…it was difficult but the end product is so beautiful.
Good quality.
I think a supplemental poster so you could see details up close would be helpful.

Wow, thanks for your loyalty! Maybe some day we can include posters. :)
